Dr. Michael Parsa, El Paso, Texas-based physician, uses his varied talents to teach and inspire the next generation of doctors. As an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Texas Tech University’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine (PLFSOM), Dr. Michael Parsa prepares students for the realities of American emergency rooms. He also serves as a clerkship director within the same department.
Dr. Parsa’s involvement at PLFSOM goes far beyond his capacity as a professor. He leads the school’s Christian Medical Association and Global Border Health student organization, serving as a faculty advisor for both clubs. Dr. Parsa is also involved with three different committees on campus, helping to guide university policy in several arenas.
Prior to his current appointment, the new physician focused his efforts in the emergency departments of Lompoc Valley Medical Center and Marian Medical Center, both in California. He has been a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 2003.
